1. A simple Lens consists of a single piece of material, while a compound Lens consists of several simple lenses (elements), usually along a common axis.
2. Lenses are made from transparent materials such as glass, polymers etc which are ground and polished to a desired shape. A Lens can focus light to form an image.

Delivery and Shipping:

• The lens itself clips securely into the holder, but the holder does need to be externally adhered.
• Triple LED stars are built with three holes in the star board for the legs of the optic.
• Most optics are cone shaped and need an optic holder to hold the lens in place over the LED.
• In the case of LED stars, optic holders have four legs that sit down into the grooves of the star board.
